Proud Parents

Jason raced in 4 BMX races this weekend called Oregon's Governor's Cup. He came home with a nifty plaque showing a 1st place in one race and a 2nd place in another race. :) Good job! He raced hard, had fun, and placed too! We are sooooo proud of him! Can't believe it, but he is already 16 and in high school. Just had to brag about my son! :)

Latest Updates!

My passport arrived a week early...grin...Yay! As of today, Jeff and I went to the Portland USCIS office for fingerprinting as part of our I600 paperwork "Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative". Our appointment was set for 2pm. I had a haircut with my wonderful deaf beautician at 9am in Gresham, so we decided to see if we could get into our appointment at USCIS Portland, OR early. Lucky for us we were able to do so. :) We got to process with the 11am group, and were done before noon.

I've had fingerprints taken before for my teacher background checks, but this time NO INK!! This was the coolest appointment with not having to get yucky, inky fingers that seem to never come clean. They use a computer and a scan pad where they press your fingers. Your fingers are rolled just like the regular way. Your prints show up on the screen, and if they aren't good enough, the technician can immediately take another one.

Jeff was happy to get in earlier, so he could head out on his Harley for a ride. Beautiful sunny weather here right now.

One more step finished on our long yet wonderful journey of the heart. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful weekend!
